Welcome
One day, while thinking of the many things I want to do for my children, the thing that came to mind is to be a better dad. Thinking even deeper, I wanted to be a better Catholic dad, hence the site "A Better Catholic Dad" was born. I want to be that role model for my son, so he knows how to treat his friends, play fair and to respect women. I want my daughters to know what a loving father is, to portray that ideal image of a how a husband treats his wife.
I am the husband to a wonderful wife, who is deeply rooted to her Catholic beliefs. She attends morning mass nearly every day. She has been the spiritual rock of the family since day one. I am the father to three wonderful children, a son and two daughters. I am a Catholic convert who had no religion growing up as a child and still find it hard to this day to fully grasp religion. As I grow older, I find that I need it more and more.
I am far from perfect, I don't say the rosary nor do I regularly pray. (I know you are thinking, "shame on you, how dare you call yourself a Catholic"). Through this blog, I hope to grow into the husband my wife deserves and the father my children deserve. Eventually and in time, becoming a better Catholic dad.
Throughout this journey, I will be reading through and referencing pages from The Catholic Youth Bible Revised: New American Bible This is the bible my wife bought for me on the day I became a Catholic.
