T.Y.G.I.F.
Repeat after me... Thank you God. Thank you for another day that I have with my family. Thank you for the air we breathe, the warmth we feel. Thank you for laughter from my children and food on my table. Thank you for the love that I feel from my wife. Thank you for a car that runs and the gas I can buy to put in it. Thank you for the education my children are getting and the education I got. Thank you for common sense in the ability to know right from wrong. Thank you for safe travel. Thank you for my health and for my family. Thank you for my friends.
It is not that hard to say thank you to God for all of the blessings we have in our lives. You manage to say thank you when someone hands you your meal if you eat out and you can say thank you when the cashier gives you back your change. Why is it that we have to be physically handed something to be reminded to say thank you? You may go out this weekend and buy a new pair of shoes, but did it dawn on you to give thanks to God for giving you life to get the knowledge to get a job that allows you to make the money to buy those shoes? Be sincere, you don't have to say it out loud, you can think it if you wish, take a moment, clear your mind and give thanks. I am sure everyone has used the phrase T.G.I.F. How about we make it say T.Y.G.I.F. Thank YOU God it's Friday. Direct your thanks directly to God.
In the process, do not forget to teach your children to give thanks to God as well.
