Remember to show your love.

Genesis 2:23-24
And Adam said, This (is) now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.  Therefore shall an man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

One of the greatest gifts you can give your children is to love their mother.

You and your wife are one.  You are a team and you must work together.  You must work together at parenting, at being each others support system and you must work at your marriage.  You have to work at keeping the love alive long after the honeymoon.  You have to work at doing the little things that count for your spouse.

When was the last time you bought your wife some flowers?  You can buy her the dozen roses from the florist, you can snip a few flowers from the garden or you can buy a bouquet from the checkout line at the grocery store.  Ask yourself, when was the last time  you kissed your wife and really meant it?  Not one of those in passing kisses but a real kiss?  Pick up the dirty clothes you left on the floor, offer to help with the dishes.  All of these little gestures and efforts mean the same, they are a symbol of your love.

Now is the time to find a sitter and take your wife out on a date, be that man again for her, one who opened her car door.  You do not have to spend a fortune to tell your wife you love her.  Plan a picnic lunch and just spend quality time together you both need. You will find that spark in your marriage and by loving your wife, you will have a happier home and happier children.
